It served as the county seat of Bucks County from 1726 until 1813, when the courthouse moved to Doylestown, and was formally incorporated as a borough in 1838. The Newtown Historic District, established in 1969 and enlarged twice since, includes 293 contributing buildings spanning Greek Revival, Late Victorian, Federal, Queen Anne, and Gothic Revival architecture. Its most famous moment came on Christmas morning 1776, when General Washington marched his army out of Newtown toward the Battle of Trenton — the same town our shop calls home today.

Details: We had just finished having the inside of our house completely repainted with renovations and while the work was mostly done really well we found that we were constantly having to be the quality control people. With that in mind we were looking to have the house exterior repaired where necessary and repainted. The house is stucco and brick. Our major criteria were their expertise, attention to quality and our comfort with them. We interviewed several companies and settled on JarArt. Kamil, the company's Principal, talked us through the whole process. He pointed out issues that we had not even known existed and proposed a great game plan to resolving the repairs to the stucco and the kind of paints he would use. We researched his company on the net and found out that he had amazing reviews. He has also done extensive work at a very beautiful Indian temple in New Jersey and that gave us a great deal of comfort because we have been there and seen the work that's been done. The quote was very fair and in the end Kamil did extra work that he thought was needed but he did not charge more. We were impressed by the professionalism, desire to deliver a fantastic job and attitude as well as the many creative suggestions that we found very valuable and acted on.
